In our continuing Soul Space forum series, we’re dropping the textbook talk and getting into the real, everyday language of our community. We are digging into where our communication habits come from- looking closely at the gender roles we were taught, examining our unique verbal and non-verbal styles, and the way we shift how we speak to survive outside our community—so we can build practical coping tools and stronger bonds of Black love.
